I am only giving this review five-stars because I want it to be seen. This is by far one of the worst environments to workout in both inside and out. The clientele is snobby at best, weights are usually overrun with kids that are too young to be working out alone but are somehow allowed to and the grounds crew absolutely torches the outdoor walking areas with dangerous amounts of weed killer and fertilizer. It’s really just a miserable place where those who believe that the Earth ends at the Eaton town limits. Save yourself the trouble, make the drive into Greeley or Windsor and you’ll find much better options.

Love the gym and the pool here. The gym has a great layout. Very conducive to HIIT training and a good crowd of folks.

The pool is great for kids of multiple ages. Very easy to manage your family and ensure everyone is having fun and being safe. The life guards are also very friendly and good with kids.

Everyone who works there seems like they want to be there. So good vibes and a great facility!

Mostly great but hours for open gym are too limited for general kid public use. Still waiting for the outdoor pool after promises made years ago. Need instructions on the machines upstairs.

The Eaton Recreation Center is hands-down one of the best things about living in this town. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this place was designed with the entire community in mind.

The fitness area is outstanding-modern, well-maintained equipment with plenty of options whether you’re lifting, doing cardio, or just trying to stay active. It never feels thrown together; everything is thoughtfully laid out and clean.

The aquatics area is where this place really shines. The pool is great for both lap swimming and families, the lazy river is perfect for relaxing, and the water slide is a hit with kids (and adults who still want to have fun). It feels more like a small resort than a local rec center, which is impressive for a town this size.

What really sets the Eaton Rec Center apart is its seamless integration into the town and local community. It’s not just a gym-it’s a gathering place. You see families, seniors, kids, and athletes all using the space together. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and clearly take pride in their work, which makes a significant difference.

Eaton has something special here. The recreation center reflects the heart of the town: welcoming, family-focused, and built to bring people together. If you’re local, you’re lucky to have it-and if you’re visiting, it’s absolutely worth checking out.
