  Overall Rating and is it worth a visit: 8 to 8.25/10 and Yes. Tucked along HWY 85 in the small town of Eaton, sits Smokin' Bros Barbecue. Driving up, you can see their food truck and pits in the back of this non-descript commercial looking property, giving you insight into their initial beginnings as a food truck/caterer. That said, as soon as you step inside, you are greeted by a friendly staff and some light casual rock music playing, with a faint smell of smoke in the air. Sitting down, we were waited on by several staff and received great customer service from all of them, and who additionally let me pop out back to take some photos of their smokers (they stick true to their KC roots, by using American Barbecue Systems Smokers, which are made outside of Kansas City.) We order the large 3-meat and side platter, along with a half rack of ribs to make sure we got the full experience. Once the food came, the presentation was fantastic and came delivered upon bright red trays and butcher paper, with pickles, jalapenos, and pickled onions on the side. In terms of the food, Smokin' Bros has a high floor for its flavors across all of their options, but didn't have anything that was the best of the best either. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed the jalapeno cheddar sausage, the pulled pork, and several of the sides such as the okra. While not necessarily worth making a trip to it on its own, if you are in the area, or about to head across the Midwest or north to Wyoming and find yourself craving some BBQ, this is one the last good options available for a long time.   This right here is how it's done! Brisket smoked to perfection! Tender, juicy, full of flavor and pulled right apart in your fingers and melted in your mouth. That jalapeño cheddar sausage IS KILLER! Everything on my plate was hot to the touch and exceeded all of my expectations! Hot sides, great sauces, excellent, prompt and friendly customer service. And finally the most important part, clean restaurant and facility! 5 stars!!! I will be back!

  I was there on January 31st around 6:30 pm. Were grabbed a table, group of 6 and waited a little bit. The blonde gal who came over to be our waitress was probably having a bad day. We ordered off the menu no substitutions no changes, she seemed annoyed every time she spoke with us. She never offered refills and most of us were out of water for 1/2 of the meal. Had to find her to get a refill on beer. Food took about 30 minutes which no big deal good food can take some time. The appetizer came out with the entrees. Ordered pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, sausage platter, and brisket sandwiches. The flavor of the food was great, but the food came out cold.
  She did not come back during the meal.
  After we finished 2 of us needed a box, she roller her eyes? I have honestly no idea what the issue was. Then she asked us to pass our dirty trays down the aisle across everyone instead of walking to the other end to gram them. So every person had to touch someone else’s bbq tray.
  
  The food. The salad was great lots of lettuce and toppings everything was fresh. The onion rings were also excellent! Great batter to onion ratio, very crispy. The ribs had good flavor and were very moist, but again they were cold. And the Mac and cheese had definitely been scooped then sat so long it had a dried out a bit and was room temp. Potato salad was creamy. Pulled pork sandwich was large, very generous amount of meat.
  I really enjoyed having all the different styles of sauces at the table and I thought that was a really nice touch.
  I would love to give it another try, just hope that isn’t working when I do.

  Later dinner after baseball! Still had food! Good pulled pork sandwich to go with sauces! Half rack of ribs were delicious! Great for small town & craving BBQ! Appetizer onion rings are delicious! Baked beans were good as well! Mac & cheese delicious to go with it! Good atmosphere to have a conversation! Friendly staff as well! Amazing prices for family BBQ!

  Love the food, great prices, awesome bbq and sides. The only thing that could be improved- they don’t bag up the to go orders until you arrive. No matter how long I give it, they don’t put it all together until I walk in. When I order takeout, I’m usually in a hurry and need the convenience. Standing at the bar for 5-10 minutes while they get someone to package it up is inconvenient. I love going because it’s a lot better than the fast food in town! But that makes me not order sometimes.
