The wait was LONG after we ordered but then again it was mother's Day weekend so idk if that's the norm for busy nights. The food was pretty good except that black rice, that was a no for me. We ended up getting a freel dessert bc of the wait time. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was chill.

The Lodge at Pelican Lakes is one of our favorite places to dine in Northern Colorado. Nestled on a beautiful lake and golf course, the views are absolutely stunning, with gorgeous mountain scenery and a relaxing atmosphere that makes every visit feel special.
The food is consistently incredible, and the drinks are just as impressive. As someone with significant food allergies, including gluten sensitivities, I especially appreciate how accommodating the staff is. Even when an item is listed as containing gluten, it’s often worth asking questions. For example, my favorite dish is the short ribs, which are listed as having gluten because of some of the sauces added, but the short ribs themselves are packed with flavor and can often be modified to meet dietary needs.
I also appreciate how accessible the restaurant is. The restrooms are handicap accessible, and the dining areas are easily navigated with a walker or wheelchair. There are also seating options closer to the entrance for those with mobility concerns, making it a comfortable experience for guests of all ages and abilities.
The views alone are worth the visit. From the balcony, you can overlook the lake, golf course, and beautiful mountain backdrop. During the winter months, you can even watch people enjoying the Windsor ski hill from the balcony, which adds a fun and unique touch to the experience.
If the weather allows, I highly recommend requesting a table on the patio near the waterfall. The soothing sound of the water, the geese lounging along the lake, and the unobstructed view of the sun setting behind the Rocky Mountains create one of the most peaceful dining experiences you'll find anywhere in Northern Colorado.
One thing I love is that while community members and golf course residents certainly enjoy some great perks, this isn't a place reserved only for those who live in the neighborhood. Whether you're arriving by golf cart or by car from elsewhere in the area, it's absolutely worth the visit.
Between the incredible food, thoughtful accommodations, amazing drinks, beautiful views, accessibility, and welcoming atmosphere, The Lodge at Pelican Lakes is a destination I happily recommend again and again. -

The hostesses were very polite and friendly. Reservation is a good idea for faster seating. They are usually booked in advance because of the good food and great service. Our waitress McKenzie was very sweet and always had our drinks filled. She was very helpful with any menu questions. The drinks from the bar were very good! Overall it was a wonderful experience. 😊

Once again The Lodge did not fail!
Lucas was at the ready with superb crafted beverages, that doubled as works of art!
Oh! Hot tip, be sure to ask him what his "secret menu" is for that day. I promise that is will be out of this world! I have yet to find a more suppior mixologist in NOCO!
McKenzie was great at suggesting which appetizers we should get, and the were terrific! (See photos) the entire staff is well informed, and personable! We always feel valued and welcomed!
Our dinner was just short of paradise! The short ribs, Halibut, and Group were all so delicious! All were perfectly paired with side dishes that accentuated the main dish. (See photos) None of the dishes had duplicat sides - how refreshing!
If I had to nitpick, it would be the desserts. They have not been com p arable to the rest of the experience.
You simply can't go wrong I you visit! -

My husband and I visited for the first time last night after saying for a year “we need to go”.
The atmosphere is beautiful and definitely gives an upscale lodge feel. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. As soon as we were seated Amber was at table side to greet us and offer a welcome sip.
We were given the appropriate amount of time to look over them menu while our drink order went in. One of the things that I value as much as the quality of food is the quality of service. Amber throughout our meal checked on us but never intrusively so. We also had what I can assume was the floor manager check on us at least twice. Again, not intrusive, not too much. We felt valued and taken care of.
Now let’s talk about our meal. I ordered an old fashioned which was lovely and I appreciate the fact that the menu gave three great options for which bourbon/whisky would be best. Delicious.
The starter we chose the sweet potato croquettes (Six Sweet Potato Croquettes Fried, Served with a Maple Pecan Aioli, Shaved Apples, Crispy Prosciutto, and Cranberry Port Reduction) and all we can say is I wish I had the ability to make these at home for guests! These are unbelievably amazing.
Being our first time my husband wanted to try one of the steaks and I wanted to try a crafted entree.
He had the ribeye, which is prime cut and trimmed perfectly. Great taste, not over or under seasoned. I can appreciate they offer a variety of steak sauces but as any steak lover knows a perfect steak needs nothing else. And this didn’t need the sauce.
I had the braised short rib ravioli. This dish married the following- (12-Hour Braised Shredded Short Rib, Served on a bed of House-made Cranberry Ricotta Stuffed Ravioli Topped with Walnuts, Cremini Mushrooms, Spinach, Basil Oil, Freshly Grated Parmesan and a Cabernet Cream Sauce) in a perfect balance of slightly sweet and savory. A beautiful winter dish that was better than even I thought it could be.
We have absolutely no issue paying good money for a great culinary experience. Until last night we haven’t found a NOCO restaurant that really checked off all of our lists for a great restaurant. Congratulations Lodge, your entire staff from top to bottom knocked it out of the park! And an immense thank you to your chef and culinary team!
We will be back. We will bring friends. Definitely will recommend to everyone!
