A great spot with yummy sandwiches. The ham and havarti was something I’d get again. Their drink menu is huge with tons of options. It was a little on the pricier side but still happy with our experience.

Today I tried Windsor Lake Cafe’s second location down the road at Peculiar Ale! Great coffee, bakery goods and breakfast burritos. Haley was helpful and her smile and service was a great way to start the day!

Absolutely the best! If you have to choose between this shop and the teal and grey shop across the street always choose this one!!! I love that they use morning fresh dairy for their milk and the espresso has the best flavor. Best chocolate chip cookies! The way they go out of their way to buy from Colorado vendors has always impressed me! Always great to look around at the handmade items for sale and the occasional pop up here is always fun. We also love the ice cream selection!!

As a HUGE believer in our community small business’s and supporting them. This was our first visit to the cafe after opening. Honestly, I understand working out kinks. However, ordering a sandwich at this location was frustrating to say the least. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch with the request to change the bread to sourdough. After 30 minutes of waiting for a sandwich that only has turkey, bacon, tomato, cheese, spinach and ranch it came out with the wrong bread, not sourdough. I walked up to the counter to ask what kind of bread it was. I was told “that is our normal house bread for that sandwich, it doesn’t have nuts in it.” The first bite had seeds in the bread.. cold untoasted bread.
Another person in our party ordered the same thing and it came out with the right bread AND toasted.
All in all, disappointed in the overall consistency with this place. -

My husband and I really wanted to like this place, but left very disappointed. There is a very confusing ordering system as you enter that is a bottle neck for people entering, ordering, waiting and leaving. There is not any clear indication where to order food, where to pick up food and what is offered on the menu other than a laminated page at the ordering register. We walked around not knowing if we were to sit down in order to be served. We had to ask someone at the food pick up counter to be directed as to how to order and where the menus were located. That employee agreed that the set up is very confusing and we heard that from several other patrons as well. I ordered a veggie breakfast sandwich which was not bad other than it had what tasted and looked like microwaved eggs. My husbands biscuits and gravy were sub par. The biscuit was good but sweet and better suited for jam or jelly and not a savory gravy. He ordered scrambled eggs and they were left off the plate and the bacon was an additional cost of $2.00 for 2 slices. We understand the difficulty of opening a new eatery and all the kinks that need to be worked out. My husband is an Executive Chef and opened several restaurants, so we get it! We are hopeful that this business succeeds despite it's short comings with the lay out, messaging, signage and how the eggs are prepared.
