  Tucked away in the strip mall that is located near the Hays Market in Johnstown is this gem of a find of Chinese restaurant. Huang Garden restaurant came highly recommended by our daughter. So, we decided to give it a try. And we weren't disappointed. The dishes we've tried there so far have been fantastic and delicious! They definitely don't skimp on the meat by throwing-in a bunch of vegetables to mask things. The portion sizes were quite generous. Everything we've had there so far have been fresh and oh so tasty! We liked it so much that we've now been there several times. I highly recommend their sesame chicken, sesame beef, orange chicken, orange beef and Mongolian beef. I am sure everything in their menu is great but above are the dishes we tried so far.
  
  The above dishes, except for the Mongolian beef, were fried in very lightly coated batter and fried to absolute perfection! So there wasn't a thick layer of dough masking a thin sliver of meat (some restaurants use this trick to stretch their meat). The Mongolian beef was cooked just right to juicy perfection; seasoned to absolute perfection with just the right amount of sauce, onions and black pepper. Even the red dipping sauce they serve you with fried wonton strips before your meal comes was delicious. Instead of your sugary red-dye sauce, this had a pleasant yet slight hint of fresh ginger.

  They only have take-out. You can get Uber Eats delivery.
  We were skeptical about having UberEats because I know they like to have their drivers do multiple deliveries at a time, and we were pressed for time. We ordered, and it was with it. Some of the best Chinese I've ever eaten. I'm funny about Chinese food because most had no flavor or they put too much sesame oil in their food for my liking. This place won my taste approval to order again our was delicious, even my hubby loved it. He a chinese food lover.

  This is a hidden gem in Johnstown as far as food goes.
  
  The food at Huang Garden is some of the best Chinese food I've had in my entire life. Yes, the atmosphere is no great shakes; however, I go to a restaurant and return because of the food, not the atmosphere. And Huang Garden delivers on the food and customer service. Although the atmosphere is not that of a "fancy" restaurant, the restaurant itself and the bathrooms were clean.
  
  We ordered the following: steamed dumpling appetizer, Twice Cooked Pork, Cashew Chicken, and Kun Pao Chicken.
  
  The meat inside the steamed dumpling was flavorful and cooked perfectly as the was tender.
  
  The pork and cabbage in the Twice Cooked Pork dish were both spiced and cooked to perfection as the cabbage was cooked, yet still crunchy, and the pork was tender. The sauce that these two items were cooked in was just the right amount of spicy as it did not overpower the taste which was excellent.
  
  The same could be said for the Cashew Chicken and the Kun Pao Chicken. The chicken and vegetables in each dish were spiced wonderfully, and the chicken was cooked thoroughly, yet it was still tender and the sauces for each dish were superb.
  
  The vegetables and meats for all of the dishes tasted fresh and the portions for each of the three entrees was more than plentiful...we've been eating leftovers twice a day for two days now.
  
  Our server was friendly, professional, and quick to assist us with ALL of our requests.
  
  If you do decide to try this restaurant I HIGHLY recommend eating at the restaurant as opposed to ordering to-go or take-out; however, be patient as it may take a little time to get your meal because everything is made fresh, and not reheated nor premade.
  
  I look forward to trying their Thai and Vietnamese dishes!

  We ordered take out from Huang Garden the other night for the first time to try out a local restaurant. We were happy to see that the food was going to be ready within 20 minutes as we were starving already. I ordered the Vietnamese Noodle Bowl with beef and a order of steamed dumplings. The noodle bowl was a massive portion and it was extremely flavorful and well seasoned. Paired with some fish sauce and it was perfect! The dumplings weren't bad, they were steamed perfectly but the filling wasn't too great, it was relatively bland unfortunately. My wife ordered the chicken fried rice and said it was incredible. It too was a massive portion good for at least 3 meals. I would definitely eat here again and I highly recommend the Vietnamese Noodle Bowl!

  Pretty bland taste and small portions. Bottom 5 ever of the 100 or so places I've eaten Chinese. Think being slow weekday has something to do with other factor....food looked like it had been sitting around for awhile. Might try another time
