  I love visiting little out of the way towns and finding the best places to eat. Gabe's is a super 🔥 spot with great service, and food. You can tell they have been here awhile serving the locals, and now with this review you non locals can learn about it. Because it's so popular, cozy and active, it's not the best place for me to work on my current book, but then, pancakes beat writing any day! Of course I could explain how delicious the food is but I think the better option is for you to try it yourself. Just go!! #steviegsuccess #timetoyellcut

  Second time here. First time was earlier in the day and excellent. This second time was not as good. It was about 45 min before closing and there were only two other tables seated when I came in. The cooks were already cleaning the kitchen. The server was fast and great, bringing my coffee immediately. The food even came out fast, but the pancakes were not cooked thru. Very dough-like and chewy. The butter was frozen pads, and wouldn't melt. I really came for the pancakes, which were great the first time I visited, but this time not so much.

  This was my first time visiting Gabe's Cafe for breakfast, and it proved to be a solid everyday option for anyone living in or around the Frederick area.
  We were pleased to find no wait time when we arrived, and the greeting staff was welcoming and friendly. We were seated near the front windows. It is worth noting that the tables in this section are placed quite close together, making it a bit difficult to maneuver and settle into the seats.
  Our server checked on us during our meal, though the service overall felt a bit rushed and lacked a warm touch. However, the value of the meal easily makes up for the tight seating and brisk service. The menu offers classic, simple breakfast dishes at very affordable prices. The portions are generous and the food is well-prepared.
  Overall, it was a good experience and did not disappoint. I plan to return and would recommend it to others looking for a straightforward, reasonably priced breakfast

  Waited outside this quaint breakfast spot in Fredrick for my dads birthday. The place was decently busy, so understandable when service to start was a little slow. However, our waitress was not friendly, never refilled coffee or other drinks. Food took quite awhile to come out and was like warm. Food was dropped off and she never came back to see if everything was good or we needed anything. The food tasted great, but the service and speed was terrible.

  It's a small busy place, like most in Frederick. But it's very much an authentic breakfast lunch diner.
  
  I got a bean and beef smothered burrito, and as you can see, it is huge! Total price came out to about 17.50 including drink.
